Youth Programs
UnMasked provides a variety of youth programs that utilize creative modalities to serve our youngest artists! Art provides an appropriate outlet for alternatively creative youth.
Mental Health Services, CCS
Special Needs, PTSD, Autism Spectrum Disorder etc.
Art Exploration Classes-
Silent Soldiers-When parents are deployed to protect our country, their children often are left without a protective parent. It is difficult for children to understand the complexity of war and defense. Through expressive creativity children can process the questions they don't have the words to ask to build age appropriate understandings of a parent being away for a time, and changed when they return.
PAVEing Bridges- as children leave the protective environment of the local domestic violence shelter, this program provides them with an outlet to make sense of the changes in their life. Children need ample opportunity to process and move through the trauma of abuse in creative playful ways. UnMasked provides services for children individually and as family groups.
Graffiti Group- At risk teens have situations to cope with beyond the normal scope of adolescence. The Graffiti Group is a structured mural painting project
for teens 13-18. Creative at risk youth will work together with an art
therapist to design and implement large scale art. They will experience
successful problem solving as a team as they work in collaboration with local property
owners and businesses to improve public areas of their community.
